We’re a life agency. We help our clients navigate — literally and figuratively — the relocation process. We combine the robust offerings of a comprehensive real estate agency with the customer service of a boutique firm.

In short, we help people list their homes, find short or long term housing — whether they’re renting or purchasing — and provide information and on-the-ground help.

We start with real estate solutions tailored to each unique individual and family we work with. Then we dig deeper, adding whatever services they need along the way: helping them find a great neighborhood, learn about cultural values, take language lessons, get information on how to file visa and tax paperwork, and more.

No matter who you choose to work with when finding a new home, you’ll be paying someone for their help. For our core real estate offerings, we collect the same commission as any other real estate service provider, with minimal add-on costs for supplemental assistance.

What Does/Doesn’t Station Do?

Yep! We are licensed real estate brokers in the cities where our life agents work — but we work in a different way than your run-of-the-mill real estate agency. We specialize in helping those who are not only moving but also relocating — whether that’s for work, for school, or just for fun. You get all the important real estate expertise with the added bonus of our experience helping people just like you, people starting a new adventure in a new place.

That's an easy one: both! Of course, we always feel the best option is for us to view properties together. We’ll help you coordinate visits and make sure your best interests are represented. We also know that sometimes schedules are tight and you just have to improvise. We’ll be with you from your initial web search until you finally find the perfect place.

Absolutely. Finding you a place to live is at the top of our to-do list — because it’s probably at the top of your to-do list. Our life agents are experts in the real estate market, and they have the inside scoop on the neighborhoods you’re curious about. That’s because we live and work here, too! Can you list my place in the city I’m moving from?

We sure can. If your old place is located in one of the Station cities, we’ll be happy to help you find a renter or purchaser to take it off your hands. If it’s in a city that we don’t currently operate in, we can connect you with a trusted partner who will work with us to coordinate all the important stuff. Our super helpful team can help you from destination to arrival.

Ask our team members what their favorite part of their job is, and they’ll probably tell you it’s sharing information and opinions about the neighborhoods in their cities. Why? Because we live and work in all the cities in which we operate. And we’re passionate (very passionate) about where we live. If you need help nailing down the right place to call home, you’ve come to the right place.

There are services (mostly online) that specialize in this, but Station isn’t one of them. Frankly, finding a roommate is complicated, and it depends on a lot of things that are out of our hands. This task should be more than just a box to tick off your to-do list. It’s a personal thing — almost like dating but without, you know, the romance! We don’t offer matching or finding services, but our life agents have resources and tips they can share with you in your search for an awesome roommate.

Not really. Just like finding a roommate (see the answer above) to share a space with, finding an apartment that someone’s already living in gets complicated fast. There’s a lot more to take into consideration than the apartment or house itself — specifically the type of person you’ll enjoy living with. That’s a personal thing, and a decision you’ll have to make on your own. But our team is happy to lend our advice and resources to help you as much as we can along the way.

We’ve got you covered! We have access to providers of temp housing (also called “corporate housing,” by the way) throughout the cities we work in, and for people working with a wide range of budgets. Temporary housing can be difficult to find, but our agents have the connections to find you something that will work beautifully.

Yes. And don’t worry — you’re not the first person to ask this question. First things first: we’re not here to judge; we’re here to help. Second, we know the ins-and-outs of the cities we call home, so we know what solutions will work best based on your specific situation. We like to think that much of what we do is about sharing what we know with you, and in some ways, that’s free. Don’t be shy—ask us how we can help!

Being in-the-know means having an expert grasp on the real estate market and the going rate for houses and apartments in particular neighborhoods. Once we’ve got a sense of your budget, we’ll identify properties and share information about the cost of living in hopes that we can find something that aligns with your personal and financial needs. We’ll be the first to tell you whether something is off the mark or on point.

That’s a complicated question, but one worth asking. Lots of different things can affect rent prices and home values: size, quality, transit access, amenities, walkability — even school districts. It’s our goal to balance all your requirements to find you something that fits your budget. We know these neighborhoods like the back of our hands, and we follow the real estate market obsessively. Logistics

We can definitely get started over email, and lots of our collaboration will be digital (mostly email and text). We want to work with you the way you want to work. But in the end, nothing beats face-to-face service and information sharing. Let’s talk about how to best work together!
