Made up of lush landscapes, its neighborhoods are all within walking distance of the business district and Metro-North station. Housing is made up of large single-family homes, condos, co-ops and rental apartments. Lawrence Park is a National Historic District and is made up of narrow winding stone streets. Several parks offer tennis and playing fields. There is one private country club with a championship 18-hole golf course.

The weekly farmer’s market runs from May through November. The Bronxville School is ranked as one of the top public school in the country. The town has an official village historian who maintains the Local History Room, appointed annually by the Village Board of Trustees. The library offers exhibits, art galleries and the latest in computers. Additionally, there’s a well-attended summer day camp.
